Sweet Soma

Suited equally to both indoor and outdoor cultivation, Sweet Soma is a robust phenotype with copious resin production. Faring well outdoors, and yielding better results for those who are able to give it the necessary love, this is a great strain for the passionate grower. Tough and resistant to pests, this strain can withstand a lot but will surprise you with its sweet and delicious flavours. With 22% THC, this is a potent plant with strong, long lasting effects. Being Indica, these are highly physical and relaxing - better suited to after the days work is complete.

Striving upwards, it reaches around 100cm indoors, and up to 250cm outdoors, when harvest is in mid October. Indoors, the flowering cycle takes 65 - 75 days, and yields about 400gr/m2, whereas outdoors you can expect much higher yields. In both environments Sweet Soma will grow outwards and be rather bushy, looking perhaps a little ragged by the end of its life cycle. The buds are very sticky and best suited to older grinders. The high amounts of resin mean that extractions of hash and oils from Sweet Soma are great.

To taste, as the name suggests, Sweet Soma is sweet and fruity. Tropical fruits come to mind as this washes over the palette and then swirls about the air. Imagine biting into a sweet and cool watermelon on a Caribbean beach, something like that.

For those who intent to grow indoor, it might be worth trying 00 Seeds' Auto Sweet Soma. This strain comes with the benefit of only growing up to 80cm and giving yields of 450gr/m2, which can’t compete with Sweet Soma’s outdoor yields, but beat the indoor ones. Harvest time is about equal between the two strains, but Auto Sweet Soma has a lower THC content, around 16%. For some this will be off putting, for others it could be a benefit.
